You go to a Yoga class and the teacher says breathe 1000 times. You go to the doctor and they put a cold stethoscope on you and say breathe. You go to the therapist and spill your beans and they say: "you need to take a breath." Well if this FFFFING breath thing is so GOOD then how come no one has put it in a bottle?! And please allow me to state the obvious...I am in fact breathing or else I'd be dead...I did learn that much in school!
Haha! Thank you for breathing but allow me to reassure you: its not so much about the weather or whether or not you are in fact breathing because as you so rightly pointed out: if you are here now, actively relating your cynicisms about breathing then you probably are in fact breathing. So I'd like to impart to you now another potential possibility: that its not so much about 'if" you are breathing, that would make breathing just a "what if" proposition, it is also about: who are you being whilst you are breathing? Are you breathing just to survive? Or are you breathing to LET IT ALL IN?
I was in the Amazon a while back, not the app, the actual rainforest place, and the shaman leading us through the forest was emphatically saying in perfect English: "let it all in!" And while the giant kingfishers dove into the water harpooning piranhas with their bills and the helicopter sized hummingbirds buzzed by and while the macaws cawed, yes, while all that and more surrounded me, I let it all in.
