Rodolfo Mari is a photographer based in Mystic, Connecticut, working throughout New England and available for editorial, commercial, and portrait assignments nationally and internationally. A graduate of Parsons School of Design (BFA, Photography), Rodolfo creates editorial, portrait, lifestyle, music, and commercial imagery with an emphasis on observation, personality, and authentic moments.

His work ranges from environmental portraits and documentary-style storytelling to musicians, nature, and visual essays. In addition to photography, Rodolfo is the creator of the Mystic Body Method, an approach to movement and body awareness that has further shaped his way of observing people and the world around him. Whether photographing a portrait, a magazine story, a commercial assignment, or a quiet moment discovered along the way, his goal remains the same: to create images that are honest, memorable, and deeply human.

Inception

I found my grandfather's Contaflex 35mm camera and three Carl Zeiss lenses in the back of a closet when I was 12 years old. There was an old "how to" manual written in Spanish in the bottom of the musty leather camera bag...I didn't know how to read Spanish but I read it anyway. Not long after that I built a black and white darkroom in a closet. I still have that camera. Sometimes I press the shutter release a few times just to hear the sound...it sounds like a kiss.
